Okoume grows in Gabon, Republic of Congo, Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea. Gabon banned to export logs since year 2010 while Cameroon ran out of Okoume forestation almost at the same time, Republic of Congo became the main exporting country of Okoume logs for peeling then.
In support to the resource sustainability, we obtained the DDS (Due Diligence Solution) verification by Bureau Veritas. This is a guarantee of the harvest legitimacy, which is especially important for the overharvested African countries.
Our Okoume veneer is peeled at different thickness, mainly at 0.3 mm, 0.4 mm and 0.5 mm but also available at 0.2 mm, 0.6 mm and even 0.8 mm to 1.5 mm.
